| at Mellben Crab with meehoon (laksa type noodle) |
When I first tried this many many years ago, I didn't like it.
Actually, back then anything not sweet & sour and not compatible with fried mantao was not acceptable.
But years later, it became more acceptable and I started to appreciate it :)
Most importantly because I like the fact that there's carbo (meehoon) in it XD
A KL-couple friend, having tasted it many years ago, 心心酥酥最想念這個. Finally brought one of them back this time... according to him, couldn't find this style in KL (yet).
There are a few branches, but mostly in heartland areas like Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, and oh, East Coast Park at a very quiet corner. We have been to the ECP branch on a weeknight, it was deserted and personally, we wouldn't want to go back there anymore.
Our current frequented branch is Toa Payoh (with service charges applied for the renovated air-conditioned space upstairs). Since we have moved slightly closer to this place, OK officially listed it as a must-go place to bring visiting family and friends now.
